Our family medicine practice makes every effort to provide our patients with compassionate and competent health care.  Our health care providers  (Andy Coren, M.D. and Christine Ramsay, P.A.-C) and the entire office staff are committed to these standards.

Dr. Coren is a Board-Certified family physician. He attended Northwestern University School of Medicine (graduated 1972). His Residency in Family Practice was through the University of California in San Francisco at San Francisco General Hospital. In 1985 he and his wife, Yvonne (who is the office manager), moved to Ukiah to start a family. They relocated to the Seattle area in 1998 where Dr. Coren worked for the University of Washington, but came back home to stay in Ukiah (and the sunshine) in 2003.

Christine Ramsay, P.A.-C is a certified Physician Assistant who received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cal State University in 1985 and completed the MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Training Program at the University of Washington in 1998.  Christine has worked for the Department of Veteran''''''''s Affairs in their Urgent Care and Annual Exam Clinics.

Dr. Coren and Christine Ramsay provide care for the whole family and for a wide range of medical problems:

• Care of newborns, babies, children, teens, adults and elders
• Maternity / obstetrical care
• Family planning including vasectomy and IUDs
• Office surgery including lesion removal and repair of lacerations (cuts)
• Newborn circumcision
• Casting simple fractures
• Routine wellness exams, including vaccinations, cancer screening, DMV, sports, school, and camp exams
• Care of hospital and nursing home patients
• Immigration physicals for people applying for citizenship
• Also note that Dr. Coren and many of our office staff speak Spanish

Our office participates in the Immunization Registry of Northern California, a new program which tracks immunization history for children and is accessible to any provider. No more worrying about losing those yellow immunization cards! Please ask at the office how to sign up for this free service.

Our practice also participates in the Loving Support Breastfeeding Program in conjunction with Ukiah Valley Medical Center and the Mendocino County Public Health Department. Mothers needing education, support and resources are encouraged to ask us!

In addition, in 2007, we are proud to say that our application to participate in the Medicare Care Management Performance Project was accepted. This means that our care of Medicare patients is reviewed each year to help improve the quality of care for all patients.

We have some evening hours especially for working people who have difficulty scheduling time off work for medical care.
